Personal profile
My research focuses on the use of brain imaging (fMRI) to study the regions of the human brain that are involved in processing visual information. Current projects concern the processing of optic flow and visual-vestibular interactions in the visual cortex. My current research is funded by the European Commission, the Leverhulme Trust and EPSRC.
I am the director of CUBIC, the MRI Unit at Royal Holloway. Further information here: CUBIC
Research group:
Two postdoctoral scientists currently work with me: Dr Jaclyn Billington and Dr Michele Furlan. My former postdocs include Prof Krish Singh, Dr Nick Scott-Samuel, Dr William Curran, Dr Adrian Williams, Dr Angelika Lingnau, Dr Matthew Wall and Dr Velia Cardin. My former PhD students include Prof Tim Ledgeway, Dr Steve Hammett and Dr Pete Bex.
RAE (REF) vs. metrics :
Our study (pdf file) showing that RAE panels and citation-based approaches to assessment give very similar results.
