I'm interested in supervising PhDs in the following areas:

  • Oral history and medicine
  • The recent history of primary care

I teach The Voice of the Public: Oral History in Public History ( (HS5462) as part of the MA.

I also teach on the following undergraduate courses:

I'm a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (41044) with an interest in e-learning, skills based learning and assessment types.

Affiliations

Chair of the Oral History Society.

Other work

I'm currently a member of the College's IT user group and was a member of the College's Research Ethics Committee.

I have held a number of administrative positions in the department including dealing with admissions for MA History and having responsibility for the MA Public History and MA History web pages.
