I have scientific interests in the following areas:
In semiconductor physics I have investigated many-body effects in very clean one-dimensional channels. These are fabricated from clean two-dimensional electron gases, as a result I have a long-standing collaboration with researchers in the Semiconductor Physics group at the Cavendish Laboratory. I have also had collaborations and written papers with researchers at the Niels Bohr Institue (Coulomb drag), CEA Saclay (shot-noise) and UNSW (mesoscopics + pressure).
Recently we have been (i) fabricating new types of graphene samples with help of the group at the University of Manchester, and (ii) investigating quantum Hall effect in antidots with researchers at the National Physical Laboratory.
