Personal profile
Kenisha's PhD research explores emerging perspectives on workforce diversity in the Metropolitan Police Service. The aims of the study include:
- To identify the prevailing perspectives on workforce diversity in the MPS;
- To identify how these perspectives are reflected in the organisation’s policies and day-to-day work processes;
- To determine strategies that might be used to improve diversity management in the MPS.
The research provides empirical evidence of competing and hybrid perspectives which challenge the operational principles on diversity management. It also evaluates ways in which the organisation might leverage the outcomes and benefits of workforce diversity. Implications for theory and practice are considered.
