Commissioned essay about the films made by Goat Island, to accompany the DVD 'A Last, A Quartet', Chicago: Goat Island. The DVD features four Goat Island films, directed by Lucy Cash and Lin Hixson: 'it’s aching like birds' (2001); 'Dark' (2003); 'Daynightly They Re-school you The Bears Polka' (2005); and 'A Last, A Quartet' (2009). To be released at PSi 17, Utrecht, in May.
