Melissa Blanco Borelli

Research output: Book/ReportBook

Abstract

This book examines the history of the mulata in Cuba and posits a theory called hip(g)nosis that gives language and agency to the mulata and her hip-notizing hips. This theory helps understand the allure and power of ambiguous racialised bodies both within Cuba and in contemporary popular culture.
